SALALAH: The marital counselling programme 'Companionship of Life' commenced on Monday at the University of Dhofar. The three‑day initiative, implemented by the Ministry of Social Development in Dhofar Governorate, is designed to bolster family stability and enhance awareness of essential life skills for a successful marriage.


The programme targets engaged couples and newlyweds, structured around four core pillars, namely the foundations of building a happy and stable family; personality types and understanding one's life partner; communication and harmony in marital relationships; and family planning.


The programme features three training sessions delivered by a panel of specialists, covering key topics such as financial planning, family planning, pre‑marital medical screening, the fundamentals of a contented and stable family, communication and compatibility in marriage. - ONA
